Capital A Productions is the proud owner of a StageLine SL100 Mobile Stage. We pride ourselves on the cleanliness and upkeep of our mobile stage.
Capital A Productions only allows for authorized and certified technicians to set up and deploy our Stage Line SL100 Mobile Stage for insurance and liability reasons.
Capital A Productions can and will certify additional technicians as necessary; however, this certification comes at a cost to the company since it requires sending employees to Stage Line to be certified and trained by Stage Line Trainers on the proper deployment and use of Stage Line Stages.
Below you will find helpful links to documents about the use, deployment, and setup of our Stage Line SL100 Mobile Stage.
TOWING OF SL100
COMING SOON!
The driving responsibilities are an added skill set for any SL100 technician, which has its unique tasks.
Following this SOP will assist you with the 5th wheel operation and safety procedures before, during, and after operations.
The first step in hitching the stage is ensuring that you drop the tailgate and back up as straight as you can to the stage, stopping a few feet short of the kingpin of the stage
The next task is opening the stage control boxes located to the rear of the SL100 and raising the stage's hydraulic stabilizers so that the wheels make contact with the ground. Ensure that the stabilizers on the rear of the stage are fully up before proceeding to the next step.
Navigate to the hitch side and use the hydraulics to lower the stage to where the skid plate is just above the 5th wheel on the truck.
The next step may take a few minor adjustments to the truck.
Back the truck up while using the truck bed camera to align the pin on the stage with the 5th wheel.
You may need to get out of the truck to physically see that you are on track to slide the pin onto the 5th wheel.
Once the pin and plate have been seated, there is an arm that works in tandem with a YELLOW and a GREEN circle located on the back of the 5th wheel. You know that the stage is seated correctly when the arm gets pushed back towards the front of the truck and reveals the GREEN dot on the back of the 5th wheel.
The next step is securing the safety pin with the R clip on the driver's side of the 5th wheel.
There is also a black safety cable with a carabiner that needs to be clipped onto the handle of the 5th wheel that faces toward the front of the truck.
There is also a blue electrical cable that runs the brakes, lights, etc., that needs to be secured. The electric cable can be found in the toolbox on the stage. One end plugs into the top of the tow arm on the stage, and the other is plugged into the bed of the truck on the driver's side by the tailgate.
Once the stage is secured to the truck, use the hydraulics to take the legs up, allowing the truck to take the full weight of the stage.
Make sure that the motor covers are put back on and locked, that the toolbox is also closed and locked and that the tailgate is up before continuing.
Once you are in the truck, you will perform a light test before proceeding using the following procedure on the touch screen.

Start Light Test
You should get out of the truck and physically see that all lights are working on the trailer.
Before driving, you must ensure that the truck is put into TOW mode. Once complete, you can operate the truck and trailer safely.
UN-HITCHING THE 5TH WHEEL
Once you have ensured that the location of the stage is approved by the customer you can begin un-hitching the 5th wheel using the following procedures.
First, you need to drop the legs of the stage to the rubber mud pads on the hitch side using the hydraulics. The legs should be lowered to where the stage's weight is on the legs but do not allow the truck to lift from the hitch.
The next step is to disconnect the electrical cord, the safety carabiner, and the safety pin. Once the R clip has been removed from the safety pin and taken out of position, place the R clip back on the pin for safekeeping and let it hang. The arm is pulled straight out and then pushed forward towards the cab. You will see the GREEN dot is now a Yellow dot and you can now drive off after double-checking that all connections are free.
NOTE: Never take the stage off its legs until the safety pin with the R clip has been secured.
