Foundational Values
Respected: Others value what you have to say and offer. When we speak, others listen and take our ideas into consideration. Others come to us to solve problems.
Honest: Deliver on our promises. To be truthful, credible. To have honorable principles, intentions, and actions.
Constantly Growing: Always striving to be better, faster, smarter, more efficient, and more profitable. Always looking for ways to improve processes. Always looking for personal growth, both at work and in personal lives.
Respect Others: Listen to and consider what others have to say. Don’t talk about others behind their backs; if you need to say something, do it in private and not in front of others. Don’t make fun of others’ differences; consider others’ feelings, consider likes and dislikes. Try to learn from others. Don’t use words that may offend others.
Functional Values
Delivering a consistent, flawless product: Product delivery will be consistent (the same) and flawless (without mistakes that will impact the success or timeline of the event).
Teach others: Be willing to show someone how to properly execute a task. Help others grow through your experience and knowledge. Be willing to slow down so others can comprehend what you are showing them.
Be a hard worker: See hard tasks as challenges, not as work. Set small achievable goals. Try to learn something new every day and focus on what really matters. Tackle the difficult tasks, and celebrate when you achieve your goals. Set timelines and stick to them.
Be a team player: Put others first. Be reliable, be a great communicator and listener, be active when the team is working and be a problem solver. Be willing to help others in need. Be supportive, show a commitment to the team and be flexible.
Relational Values
Doing your part: Do what you are responsible for without having to be told to do it. See what needs to be done, and do it from start to finish with a result you can be proud of. Never leave a task for the next person to complete if you are able to complete it yourself.
Team Mentality: Leave your ego at the door; be humble. Always be willing to share your resources. Be committed to CAP and its core values. Execute your role. Be willing to be lead or be the leader. Don’t leave your team member with extra work. Always be open-minded to better solutions, even if you have been doing something a certain way for a long time. Understand that your decisions and actions will affect the entire team, either positively or negatively.
Clear Communication: Always deliver a clear message: include as much detail as possible while remaining concise. Make sure the information you deliver is as clear and accurate as possible. If you don’t have all the details, make sure you share that. Make the content of your message logical and connect all relevant dots to the main topic. Always be courteous, friendly, open, and honest. Always let someone know that their message was received: a quick “got it” or “received” is all it takes.
Make Fair Decisions: If a decision you are making will impact others, keep them in mind while making it. Take input from all parties, but make it clear that you will be making the final call. Consider how the decision will make others feel and impact them. Put yourself in their shoes and always look at both sides without bias. If needed, explain your decision so others can understand.
Embodied Values
Confident: Believe in yourself. Know 100% you can achieve what you set out to do, and convey that to your customers and team members. Always carry yourself in a way that exudes confidence.
Planned: Having a detailed plan for how you are going to achieve a goal.
Prepare: Do the necessary up front to deliver on promises. Take time to develop a step-by-step plan.
Innovative: Come up with new ideas on how to solve old problems. Be creative: push yourself to think outside of the box.
Exceeding customer expectations: Delivering our product that is above and beyond what the customer expected. Create a “wow” factor. Underpromise and overdeliver. Remember all the small extra things add up to make a big impression.
